Most days I feel the entire year is nothing but resolving to do anything better THIS time around or CHANGE that habit come January first. However, lately I have begun to see the importance of goals. And since I manage to commit to 33% of my book reading challenge on Goodreads I figured challenging myself to make some resolutions for 2016 wouldn’t be a bad thing. We can’t always look to others to keep us accountable in our overall health or well being. Some years require you to look towards you for that uplifting, energy, and drive to get there.
- Be in a Master’s program this time next year.
- Add cardio to my yoga. It’s a must and my best defense with the sugars.
- Continue with the pallet changing ways and embrace the healthier diet each more. Eat less and less processed.
- Eat breakfast at the kitchen table.
- At least one night this year make it out dancing, even better one night each season.
- Learn to cross-stitch.
- Make the Zen garden I’ve been wanting for years.
- Hug more and let hugs in.
- Continue to travel in the face of anxiety and diabetes. A must.
- Write more.
- Make a ‘ghost’ playlist. Finally.
- Continue to embrace change as best I can, and sometimes with a glass of red wine. Don’t judge.
May whatever you resolve to do be a success, your journey this year filled with light and love, and those moments of breath taking laughter feed your soul. Happy New Year!
